A global approach to "Health-Safety-Environment"

Turbomeca’s responsible citizen concerns are integrated into an overall "Health-Safety-Environment" (HSE) policy. This is fielded as a management system for the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment in accordance with our reference document OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

The ISO 14001 certification, obtained in June 2003, is an internationally recognised environment management tool for companies that wish to frame their development strategy in a sustained development policy. It is a means for companies to identify and control the impact of their activities on the natural environment. With this label, Turbomeca reasserts its position as worldwide leader and meets the demands of its clients, which are increasingly sensitive to pro-active commitments in the areas of environmental protection and prevention of pollution. Being awarded ISO certification further strengthens the trust on which our relations with administrations and partners are based.

Continuous progress

ISO 14001 certification is a formal commitment to making continuous progress in the field of environmental protection (clean technology, recovering waste through selective sorting) and to preventing pollution The ongoing improvement of our performances is achieved through better protection against the risks of pollution and by controlling our waste products, whatever their form. The priority tasks of our industrial sites include:

  • Recycling waste by selective sorting
  • Reducing atmospheric emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC)
  • Sustaining the performances achieved in the field of industrial effluents

By considering long-term development to be one of the company’s major values, Turbomeca has confirmed its capacity for carrying out its activities while respecting the environment. Its environmental policy constitutes a major commitment to progressing from a culture of protection to one of prevention.
