Microturbo in brief

Microturbo, a Safran group company and subsidiary of Turbomeca, is specialized in the design, development and production of low power gas turbine systems.

Since its foundation in 1961, Microturbo has developped three products range:

  • On-board auxiliary power units on airplanes and helicopters, and also ground power units
  • Turbojet engines for missiles and target drones.
  • Starting systems.

Microturbo turbines complete the very low power end of the very wide range of engines produced by the Safran group’s powerplant branch. Microturbo’s 50 years of existence have enabled the company to become a world-wide reference in the design of robust and reliable small gas turbines and turbojet engines.
