Field representative of the month

Days can be long for Hans Kaehler, Field Representative in Scandinavia, particularly when working above the Arctic Circle in summer. Nights, too. But that goes with the territory, as they say. Hans supports 37 operators with a fleet of 140 engines, mainly Arriel 1, Arriel 2 and Arrius 2 engine variants. His responsibilities cover Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, as well as the Netherlands. It’s a world away from tropical Guatemala, where he grew up. Fascinated by aviation since "before I could speak," Hans began apprenticing at a Guatemalan Cessna dealership, earning money for flying lessons. In college in Germany he flew gliders through a university sailplane club. Upon graduation, he joined Air Lloyd Technik as a technician supporting various Eurocopter EMS aircraft. Our field representatives seem to be driven by two constants: a fascination with far off places; and the satisfaction that comes from helping customers. Hans personifies them both.
